In this paper, fluorinated benzaldehyde was prepared by halogen exchange fluorination method, and fluorinated formaldehyde (PFAD) was prepared by spraying KF and p-chlorobenzaldehyde (PCAD) as raw materials in the presence of phase transfer catalyst.

In the solvent selection, catalyst selection, potassium fluoride drying process, waste disposal and side effects were studied. The factors influencing the fluorination reaction of halogen exchange include the reaction of catalyst and solvent, feed ratio, reaction temperature, reaction time and stirring rate. It was found that the yield of fluorobenzaldehyde was the same as that of potassium fluoride, the amount of catalyst used, the reaction time, the stirring speed and the amount of solvent increased first and then stabilized, and then increased with the increase of reaction temperature.
