The benefit to patients, dentists, and dental technicians of not using Hydrofluoric acid acid would be considerable, since it would mean the elimination of a highly toxic substance from the dental clinical environment. However, discussion continues as to whether silanization is needed, or whether acid etching with HF is adequate for obtaining clinically relevant attachment of composite to glass ce-ramics. Furthermore, little attention has been paid to the importance of the time interval after silane application and the effect of heat treatment of the silanized ceramic restoration prior to bonding.

Previous studies have reported different heat treatment procedures, but the results regarding their effectiveness are controversial. Moreover, it is important to create a definite protocol to verify whether heat treatment leads to adequate bond strength without Hydrofluoric acid etching prior to luting. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of different forms of heat treatment on a pre-hydrolyzed silane on the bond strength of resin cement to a feldspathic ceramic.

Use sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid purification to prepare high-purity graphite. The reaction temperature, acid concentration, reaction time on the ash removal rate of sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid were investigated, the total leaching time was 4h under prepared 99.94% high purity graphite, commonly used in this process with mixed acid, compared with a short reaction time, leaching and low cost.
