The potassium fluoride /nickel-aluminum composite oxides were prepared by coprecipitation, calcination and grinding. The orthogonal conditions were used to investigate the effects of fluoride potassium / nickel-aluminum composite oxide catalyzed synthesis of biodiesel activity, the optimized preparation conditions: nickel / aluminum molar ratio of 2, the calcination temperature of 550℃, calcination time of 2h, potassium fluoride / nickel aluminum composite oxide mass ratio of 1. The potassium fluoride / nickel-aluminum composite oxide prepared under the optimized conditions was catalyzed which catalyzes the transesterification of castor oil with methanol. 

As a result, the conversion rate of castor oil was 98.9%. The Ni-Al hydrotalcite, nickel-aluminum composite oxide and potassium fluoride / nickel-aluminum composite oxide catalysts were characterized by TG-DTA, FTIR, BET, XRD. The results show that Ni-Al hydrotalcite is at 30 ~ 220 ℃, 220 ~ 380 ℃ and 500 ~ 520 ℃ 3 temperature zone has 3 weight loss steps; potassium fluoride / nickel aluminum composite oxide catalyst BET surface area of 34.42m2 / g, BJH cumulative pore capacity of 0.128cm3 / g, BJH average pore radius of 5.46nm; potassium fluoride / nickel-aluminum composite oxide catalyst from the NiO crystal and K3AlF6

crystal composition.
