The preparation process of potassium fluoride /nickel aluminum composite oxide catalyst was optimized by orthogonal experiment. Calcination temperature (450, 500, 550 °C), calcination time (2, 4, 6h) and potassium fluoride/ nickel aluminum composite oxide mass ratio (0.5,1.0,1.5).

The order of influence of each factor on the activity of the catalyst was the calcination temperature> potassium fluoride/ nickel-aluminum composite oxide mass ratio> nickel/ aluminum molar ratio> calcination time during the preparation of potassium fluoride/ nickel-aluminum composite oxide catalyst. The calcination temperature was 550 ℃, the calcination time was 2h, and the mass ratio of potassium fluoride/ nickel aluminum composite oxide was 1. The conversion of castor oil was 98.9% by experiments with the catalyst activity evaluation method. The results showed that the conversion rate of castor oil was 98.9%.
