The effect of reagent type and concentration on the extraction efficiency of Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet nickel plating solution was studied. The effects of sodium meta-nitrobenzenesulfonate as oxidant, EDTA as complexing agent, potassium fluoride as the corrosion inhibitor and RL-3 as the catalyst. The optimum content of each component in the formula was determined, and the tested pieces were analyzed by electron microscopy.

The results showed that the formula was fast and the cost was low. The corrosion of the substrate is small, non-toxic, long service life, suitable for Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet nickel plating of the withdrawal, but also for iron-based precision parts nickel plating.
